Account Executive

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Actively working the phones to increase awareness of our product with our prospective customer base

-Setting appointments, demoing the platform, closing the deal

- Ability to present to a single location, multiple location and franchise businesses

- Using HubSpot CRM Software to track sales activity
- Working closely with founders to grow the business on a daily basis
- Resolving customer issues by taking immediate action independently or referring the customer to an appropriate team member
 - Enthusiastically explaining to customers and prospective customers how Widewail’s products and services can increase loyalty and search ranking
- Being a product expert
- Other duties as assigned

Java Developer

About Widewail

Widewail is a Burlington, Vermont-based startup focused on helping local businesses effectively get and manage online customer reviews. By integrating with our customer's business management systems we send SMS and email invitations inviting their clients to leave a review. Widewail then monitors and responds to reviews on behalf of the businesses. Responses include SEO-rich text in order to attract new customers to our client’s business and improve overall local search ranking. Negative review management requires collaboration with our clients to ensure that responses best reflect their voice. Our customer base is growing fast and we are looking for additional team members to help us meet our growing demand by expanding our current product offerings and bring new products to market.

Backend Developer Overview

The backend developer will be responsible for taking high-level ideas and transforming them into working software. You will have the creative flexibility to help define and design our user-facing products both in terms of the user experience and the software architecture. The position would be based in our Burlington, VT office. US-based remote considered for exceptional candidates.

Responsibilities

- Maintenance of existing code base.
- Development of new product features.
- Integrating with a diverse range of 3rd party APIs.
- Communicate with team members on product development.

Education

- At least 3 years of experience building web-based SaaS products.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Required Qualifications

- Self-motivated and independent learner. We are a small team and everyone is responsible for finding and implementing the right solution at the right time.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs.
- 4+ years of Java development experience
- Experience working with a relational database
- Experience with automated test technologies (Junit, Mockito, etc)
- Work in a Scrum / Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Spring Framework
- AWS Lambda
- Kotlin experience
- Working in young, early-stage companies.
- Working in a cloud environment (AWS).
