$170.

That's the gap in service revenue per repair order between a typical dealer and one whose customers describe the staff as clear communicators, specifically dealers in the top quartile.

I think we can agree that staff quality showing up in the money is not a revelation. What's new is that we can finally put a dollar figure on it.

The foundational Widewail capability here is simple. DMS and customer feedback data, side-by-side for the first time. We matched six months of customer reviews at 350+ franchise dealerships to the repair-order revenue behind those same visits. We found the following.

Staff traits in reviews vs revenue per RO

Some definitions. Typical dealer: median, 50th percentile. Standout dealer: top quartile.

Two things worth sitting with. Clear communication is the strongest signal by a wide margin, roughly three times "knowledgeable." And two seemingly important traits, friendliness and helpfulness, show no reliable link at all.

We built Customer Clarity to help you extract those dollars. It surfaces the coaching opportunities your customers are already describing, and makes recognizing the people getting it right a weekly routine instead of an afterthought. See Customer Clarity.
